Seller's Notes

myGameBalls.com isn't just a website, it's a nationwide community of baseball collectors known as "ballhawks". Featuring over 1,500 members representing all 30 Major League Baseball cities and over 200 members representing nearly 100 Minor League cities, this website allows ballhawks to log all the games they attend along with a detailed account of all the balls they snag at the ballpark. The site features user profile pages detailing each ballhawk's statistics, a leaderboard broken down by multiple categories, a daily scoreboard showing which members snagged balls, and articles describing cool stories in the community. There are two separate sub-communities, one for Major League ballhawks and one for Minor League ballhawks.

Each year the community votes on awards including Ballhawk of the Year, Junior Ballhawk of the Year, Senior Ballhawk of the Year, and Sportsmanship Award. A ballhawk convention known as BallhawkFest is also held yearly at a Major League ballpark.

Due to COVID-19 causing a shortened season without fans being allowed in ballparks, site traffic was down significantly in 2020. However, in the 10 previous years it averaged approximately 30,000 page views per month and should easily hit those numbers again once the COVID restrictions are lifted.

The sky is truly the limit for growing this website and community! With a very enthusiastic user base and a strong social media presence on Twitter, there is lots of room to provide new features/content and attract new members. Lots of possibilities exist for expanding the user base beyond just ballhawks to include casual baseball fans as well.

myGameBalls.com and its members have gotten publicity in Sports Illustrated, Rolling Stone Magazine, The Washington Post, NY Observer, and a variety of other media outlets. The site's most visible member is Zack Hample, a well known ballhawk and Youtuber who has collected over 10,000 baseballs and was recently featured on HBO's Real Sports.
